1. Prepare the sample:
   Measure about 20 mg of the substance with the plastic spatula provided (or use a precision scale if available). Crush into fine powder with no lumps, as clumps may affect the results.
   
2. Open the ampoule & prepare the cap:
   Hold the glass ampoule upright and snap off the top while using the plastic cover for protection. Keep it away from your face. Separate the plastic cover into two parts, discard the piece with glass, and keep the small cap. Place the ampoule on a flat surface.
   
3. Add solution:
   Open the plastic container containing the mixing solution, and add pour it all inside the glass ampoule.
   
4. Add sample and mix:
   Carefully add the 20 mg sample to the glass ampoule with the spatula and stir for about 5-10 seconds.
   
5. Seal & wait:
   Place the plastic cap on the ampoule and hold it firmly (one finger on top, one below). Then gently shake for another 5-10 seconds until the liquid is evenly mixed.
   
6. Read the result & dispose:
   Compare the colour change of the liquid on the top layer of the sample with the purity colour chart provided below. Afterwards, dispose of everything in a rubbish bin — contents are safe for the environment.
